 One Way Satellite Internet (Sat-IP)

Sat-IP is one of MacroSat's flexible bandwidth offerings, allowing the customer to choose the maximum speed he needs - while paying only for the intensity of use he requires. Most users want a large download channel but don't need the maximum bandwidth for 100% of the time. With Sat-IP, you can exactly match your download requirements.

Sat-IP is ideal for all types of customers, from small ISPs, corporations and internet cafes to high-use individuals. Choose the maximum speeds - from as low as 32 Kbps to as high as 4.5 Mbps.

This service is designed for the business users, who require internet as a business requirement, with a heavy demand of downloadable traffic on a periodic basis. This service comes with an assured CIR and CBR. This service ensures you the CIR on an active TCP-IP session basis.

Quality of the DVB channel is in direct correlation with your uplink. This means, if your uplink is unstable, you will not be able to receive full speed from the DVB channel, i.e. you must upload 1 GB to be able to download 3 GB, in order to get the assigned CIR for every transition. The amount of downloads that can expand the pipe to complete CIR assigned at every active transaction basis depends on the factor that the user has to generate that kind of an uplink traffic at every transaction basis. If a user is able to generate the same at an active TCP-IP session basis he will get the CIR, at 99% of the times. There can be a variance of 10-15% based on the fact that internet is an asymmetric channel and it is a DVB carrier and on internet the download speed are just not subjected to the available bandwidth on the last mile.

This services are not designed for an ISP or an ISP kind of traffic. There is a different service designed for that which is called Sat-Routing. It is available to the ISP's across the globe, depending upon their business requirements and the ability to pay.

Sat-IP is available in the following options:

Service Code Downlink
CIR* - Kbps
Downlink
CBR
+ - Kbps
MST-01 32 128
MST-02 64 256
MST-03 128 384
MST-04 256 768
MST-05 384 1 Mbps
MST-06 512 1.5 Mbps
MST-07 768 2 Mbps
MST-08 1 Mbps 3 Mbps
MST-09 1.5 Mbps 4.5 Mbps

*CIR: Committed Information Rate is the minimum guaranteed throughput measured in Kbps.
+CBR: Cumulative Burst Rate is the maximum throughput that can be attained, subject to total availability of bandwidth in the pool measured in Kbps.

Upgrade or downgrade your service parameters whenever you wish.

Sat-Eco-Connect DVB-IP

Sat-Eco-Connect DVB-IP allows you to browse the internet at broadband speeds much faster than your existing dial-up service and at extremely economical rates!

There is no need to change your existing internet access provider. With the Sat-Eco-Connect DVB-IP service you retain your current connection for requests, but the responses come through the MacroSat Satellite internet connection, which enhances your browsing speed by a factor of 15 times your existing dial-up speed!

This service is designed for the users with very low concurrence and a low demand on the pull traffic from the net. The service is designed to support applications like browsing, chat and mailing only. This service is a very cost effective and is oriented to give a user experience of satellite broadband services. The services are available upto 512 kbps of speed (on a best effort basis). The speed available for an active TCP-IP session is totally subject to the available bandwidth in the pool at that point of time.

Any application or an user who is generating a lot of pull traffic from the cloud will feel that that his effective CIR is getting reduced with time, as this service is not designed to support sustained downloads for infinite amount of time. All the applications that are bandwidth hungry or need bandwidth on a more sustained basis have to be upgraded to Crystal. If the concurrence is as that of an ISP or an ISP type of usage, it has to be upgraded as an ISP service, which is Sat-Routing. The cost and financials of these services are totally different to the Eco-Connect.

MacroSat has services available for all kinds of traffic patterns and concurrences, the difference in service QOS is due to the increased cost to MacroSat and hence the difference of the price to the end user. Eco-Connect is designed to support normal HTTP traffic, but not FTP or any other heavy application. Service quality is always directly proportional to the price of the service.
