Equipment - ONE-WAY ISP satellite internet
The equipment can be selected from various types The base principle
of the ONE-WAY ISP Service is: the request will be sent through a
terrestrial line and the reply will come back through the satellite.
For this reason, the equipment that can be used is quite varied,
depending on the requests and demands of the customer. From a DVB
router to a PC equipped with a DVB card, many equipment types may be
selected.
A more detailed analysis of the Internet traffic nature which will
be performed through this service
will ease the decision and the chosen equipment more appropriate.
Requirements
All we have to know, from our side, is:
- the DVB equipment's MAC address
- the customer's IPs (in order to forward them)
-
the type of the needed service (guaranteed bandwidth, shared
bandwidth, guaranteed
minimum bandwidth, with or without burst, respectively)
DVB-Card
One-way internet satellite services are broadcasted through DVB-S
technology. To use the services, you
need a DVB-S card which supports TCP/IP connections.

establish the correct size of the dish:The
larger the dish, the better the received
signal, even in case of bad weather.
You also need a Universal digital LNB able
to receive the frequencies from the transponder. For support on purchasing, installing and
pointing your dish antenna, please
contact us
or your antenna dealer.
On
the table below, you will find the
operating systems which can be used with
OPENSKY™ Services (as for Linux, you need to
use a DVB card supported by it):
Basic requirements to use
services:
-
Pentium Intel at 400 MHz or equal
-
64 MB of RAM
-
40 MB free hard disk space

We
suggest using an audio card and additional
